Tucker Lee Blackwell
Director
Tucker L. Blackwell, Co-Founder of Tri Star Land Services, LLC, represents the business development, accounting, and land consulting aspects of Tri Star.
He graduated from Texas State University with a major in Political Science and a minor in Business Administration and further obtained a certificate in Professional Land Management from the University of Houston-Downtown. Tucker, through BlackWell Land & Title, LLC, has managed and worked alongside crews of landmen on expansive acreage plays to multi-formation plays and townsites representing small to large E&P companies such as Petrohawk Energy Corporation, GeoSouthern Energy Corporation, BHP Billiton, Ltd., Clayton Williams Energy, Inc., and Wildhorse Resource Development Corporation. He also consults numerous individuals, families, trusts and law firms for their surface/mineral/royalty title and oil and gas leasing needs.
Growing up in the small, quaint town of Cuero, Texas and being fully immersed in agriculture, Tucker developed an understanding of hard work and selflessness. He truly believes land work should be ethical, transparent and cost-friendly. No job is too small or too large.
Tucker Blackwell is both a current and active member of the Association of American of Professional Landmen (AAPL).
Joseph Barnes
Director
Joseph Barnes is the Co-Founder of Tri Star Land Services, LLC, his responsibilities include organizational management, lease acquisition/divestitures and title reporting. Joseph has more than 14 years of land experience in the oil and gas industry.
Joseph Barnes started as a Landman working in the Barnett Shale for 5 years with Harding Oil Company, now owned by the Chesapeake Energy Corporation, the projects he worked on encompassed parts of Dallas, Denton, Ellis, Johnson and Tarrant Counties in Texas. Thereafter, Joseph represented Clayton Williams Energy, Inc. (CWEI) where he helped establish a strong leasehold position for the company in the Permian and Delaware Basins. Mr. Barnes was then relocated to help maintain and expand CWEI’s leasehold position in the Eagle Ford Shale where is was responsible for implementing lease acquisition strategy to help maintain and establish one of the strongest leasehold positions in Central Texas.
Joseph Barnes is both a current and active member of the Association of American of Professional Landmen (AAPL) and the East Texas Association of Professional Landmen (ETAPL).
